I picked up a new variety of grapefruit / peppercorn bitters by Crude, a small batch company from North Carolina. I couldn't think of a good drink to try them in, so I went back to the basics. www.bitterchris.com
2 oz bourbon
1/4 oz simple syrup
2 dashes Crude "Rizzo" bitters
Pinch of ground pink peppercorn
Build the drink in an old fashioned glass with a large ice cube. The pink peppercorn can be purchased at Whole Foods, and it comes in a self-grinding container. Don't substitute black pepper... at least I wouldn't.
