Following the original definition of a cocktail. I made an Old Fashioned with an aged Rum (I was out of whiskey and wanted something slightly different)
(I'd like to substitute a dash of Angostura for Vanilla bitters)
2oz Flor de CaÃ±a (4 year old)
1 Demerara sugar cube
4 Dashes Angostura Bitters
Orange Peel for Garnish
Splash of Water
Muddle sugar cube and bitters with a splash of water in an Old Fashioned glass. Stir, then add Rum. Stir again. Add ice (I used a King Cube). Stir to chill/dilute. Express oils from orange and drop in. Serve.
