Salers Bianco

About this Cocktail

It seems like BarNotes has taken a liking to Salers lately and so here's a Negroni Bianco variation with Salers.

This drink is part of a whole Negroni Bianco post I did over at Home Bar Girl. Enjoy these Variations on a Theme! http://homebargirl.com/2014/11/03/variations-on-a-theme-negroni-bianco/

Ingredients:
  • 1 oz Mayfair or Plymouth Gin
  • 1 oz Dolin Dry
  • 1 oz Salers Aperitif
  • 1 dash Celery Bitters
Preparation:

In tin, combine Gin, Dolin Dry, Salers and Celery bitters over cracked ice. Stir and strain into coupe.

The Salers and Celery Bitters are pretty up front on this Negroni. Very Herbaceous, very Gentian, very Provençal.

So how would you describe the difference between Salers (which I haven't seen in stores around here) and Bonal, which I have a bottle of at home.
