About this Cocktail

Seemed like a good combination. Nice and refreshing with a decent black pepper bite.

Ingredients:
  • 1.5 Blanco Tequila
  • .75 Lemon Juice
  • .75 Watermelon-Black Pepper Syrup
  • .25 Aperol
  • Splash of Club Soda
Preparation:

Add all ingredients sans soda to iced shaker, shake, strain into chilled cocktail glass. Top with a splash of soda water. Garnish with fresh cracked black pepper and watermelon slice.

    Sounds excellent. What is the recipe for the Watermelon-Black Pepper Syrup?

    I'm still tweaking the recipe. Right now it is a cup of watermelon juice to a cup of sugar and a tablespoon of peppercorns simmered for about 10 minutes. Would like a bit more of a bite from the pepper, honestly.
