Been a fan for a long time. Not partial to champagne but when my wife opens a bottle I immediately steal some so I can make this cocktail. Bitter orange with slight sweet sugars from champagne. Well balanced and not too sweet.
1 oz Bourbon
1/2 oz Cointreau
4 dashes Angostura
4 dashes Peychard's
Place bourbon, Cointreau, and bitters in a shaker/glass with ice. Stir and allow to chill for 1 minute. While chilling, cut an orange twist - make sure to remove the pith and trim. Strain into a coup glass and top with champagne then twist.
