So named because this Negroni variant is tasty but needs adjustment. Not quite ... There. I likes it, but the wife said it was "disgusting." (The novasalus is admittedly out there.) The Elisir Novasalus for those that haven't tried it is a profoundly funky wine-based Amaro. By itself it gives you an initial impression of sweet vermouth, followed by incredibly dry Amaro bitter, followed by even drier tree-sap (really). In small amounts as a cocktail bitter it just gives a funky eartgy bracing bitterness - as here.
2oz Tom Gin
1oz Blanc Vermouth
1/3oz Elisir Novasalus
Citrus zest twist
Stir liquid ingredients in ice filled mixing vessel. Strain into chilled rocks glass over big cube. Express twist and garnish therewith.
