Traditional cocktail but somewhat unusual in the U.S., this egg-white drink is a sour but with enough sweetness from the sloe gin and sugar to balance it out. Note: Plymouth or Bitter Truth sloe gin are strongly recommended. If you see other brands in the $30 and under price range, its mostly artificial ingredients and I'd steer clear.

1.5 oz Plymouth Sloe Gin
1/2 oz dry gin
3/4 oz lemon juice
1/8 oz Campari (not traditional, but i prefer it)
1 egg white
1 barspoon sugar
Combine ingredients except soda in a cocktail shaker. Dry shake for 15 seconds. Add ice, and shake again for 15 seconds. Strain "up" into a large (5 oz) coupe glass, or into a collins glass with ice. Top with 2 oz of soda water.
