About this Cocktail

This was something that got thrown together, but I found quite refreshing. As you drink, the Campari syrup slowly gets mixed into the drink. It goes nicely from sweet to wonderfully bitter.

Ingredients:
  • 1 oz gin
  • .5 oz cachaca
  • .5 oz lemon juice
  • 1 oz grapefruit juice
  • .5 simple syrup
  • Scoop of Campari syrup
Preparation:

Mix all ingredients except Campari syrup, shaken and strained in to chilled martini glass. Add a bar spoon - or more, depending on how bitter you want it to be - Campari reduction to drink.

    I've never heard of a Campari reduction. Very interesting. Is it literally just boiling down Campari?

    Yeah. I discovered it by trying to dehydrate it and being too short to see inside my pot on the back of the stove.
