Spiced Peartini

About this Cocktail

I found this on yummly, and modified it slightly. It is very refreshing and light, but boozy. It tastes like you're eating a spiced pear. The lime juice adds the tartness back in that the liquor doesn't have, and the bitters adds a very pleasant spice note. The cinnamon tastes great in this but floats on top and gives a texture some might not like. Cinnamon oil or a tiny bit of cinnamon liqueur might work better.

Ingredients:
  • 2 oz vodka
  • 3/4 oz Pear Liqueur (Marie Brizard Pear William)
  • 3/4 oz dry vermouth
  • 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
  • 2-3 dashes of angostura bitters optional
  • Optional sprinkle of cinnamon
  • Simple syrup sweetened to taste
Preparation:

Add liquids to a cocktail shaker partly full of ice. Shake until shaker frosts, and pour into a martini glass. Add a few shakes of cinnamon or drops of cinnamon oil if you want a spiced version.
