About this Cocktail

Worked from home today, which meant an opportunity to take the dog on two long walks and get in a good workout. I felt like the most refreshing ginandtonic possible was in order. The pepper, basil and mint were all from our garden. It's probably be optimal to double strain this, but I didn't bother.

Ingredients:
  • 1.5oz gin
  • .5oz St. Elder
  • .75oz bradley's kina tonic syrup
  • 2 sprigs mint
  • Small slice fresh green hot pepper (I used dragon cayenne)
  • Dozenish mint leaves
  • Sprig of basil (6ish leaves)
  • Grated lime zest
  • Juice of 1/4 lime
Preparation:

Muddle the hell out of everything but the lime juice. Then add ice and shake. Strain into ice filled tall glass. Top with soda - give a quick stir.
