I created this cocktail for use at Blackberry Farm, a Relais and Chateaux resort located in Walland, TN. Warmer weather has finally arrived. One of the best ways to say goodbye to Winter and usher in Spring is with a perfect drink in hand. The Spring Time Shandy incorporates Blackberry Farm's strawberry jam that is made from scratch here on property. The fresh lemon juice brightens this cocktail adding the right amount of citrus. A unique orange and honey taste comes from the Slow and Low Rye Whiskey that perfectly marries the various flavors together. 3 spoonfuls of Blackberry Farm Strawberry Jam
1.5 ounces of Slow and Low Whiskey
.5 ounce of fresh lemon juice
Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer
In a mixing tin filled with ice add everything except the beer. Shake until cold and then strain into a beer glass. Slowly pour the beer down the side of the glass until full.
