Stollen Fizz

About this Cocktail

A @demonbitters original. I was look for a festive fizz drink and my mind turned to that delicious (and lardy) Germanic cake.

Ingredients:
  • 1 oz kirsch
  • 1/4 oz orgeat syrup
  • 1/4 oz Pedro Ximenez sherry
  • Fizz to fill of your choice
Preparation:

If you want to be all bartender about it you could shake the first three with ice and strain into the flute before topping with champagne. Or like me you could just build it in the glass.

    I grew up with homemade Stollen from my grandmother during the holiday season, so this one is close to home!

    Next time I make it I may try subbing some (half?) of the kirsch with bourbon to add some sweeter more caramel notes
