About this Cocktail

Sugar

Ingredients:
  • 8 oz Ginger, coarse chop
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
Preparation:

Process ginger until finely chopped, about 30 seconds, scraping down sides as needed.

Heat sugar and water in a saucepan for 5 minutes, whisking until sugar dissolves (do not boil) & remove from heat.

Add chopped and ground ginger and stir. Cool 30 minutes, and cover and refrigerate for 24 hours.

Strain through a fine-mesh strainer lines with double cheese cloth. Let drain about 10 minutes, then squeeze solids in cheesecloth.

Stir in lemon juice, & store in airtight container for up to 1 month.

Makes about 8 oz
