Door 74 from the Netherlands made this drink at their pop up bar at the cocktailsinthecity event in London. Some people described it as the best old fashioned they ever had. I thought it was very good. I will experiment at home and update the recipe when I am more sure of the proportions.
Pekoe Ceylon Tea Liqueur*
Whisky Barrel Aged Bitters
Add all ingredients to an ice filled rocks glass and stir well. Express an orange twist over the drink and drop it in and garnish with a small Stroopwafel.
*The Pekoe Ceylon Tea Liqueur was infused with some sort of Dutch cookie (Stroopwafel) spices. Unfortunately the language barrier and loud music meant I could not discern what spices were used.
