Inspired by Sewell Taylor and Arron Bird, two lesser known men responsible for the creation of the Sazerac along with Antoine Peychaud.
1 oz Willett Rye
1 oz Pierre Ferrand 1940 Cognac
4 dash Pechauds bitters
2 dash Orange bitters
Barspoon Steen's cane syrup
Mist of Absinthe or Herbsaint
Stir all but the absinthe over cracked ice. Strain into a frozen Sazerac glass that has been misted with Absinthe. Lemon twist to express the oils over the top.
