About this Cocktail

Inspired by Sewell Taylor and Arron Bird, two lesser known men responsible for the creation of the Sazerac along with Antoine Peychaud.

Ingredients:
  • 1 oz Willett Rye
  • 1 oz Pierre Ferrand 1940 Cognac
  • 4 dash Pechauds bitters
  • 2 dash Orange bitters
  • Barspoon Steen's cane syrup
  • Mist of Absinthe or Herbsaint
Preparation:

Stir all but the absinthe over cracked ice. Strain into a frozen Sazerac glass that has been misted with Absinthe. Lemon twist to express the oils over the top.
