Tea in the Sahara via Voiron perhaps? This recipe from the Death & co book intrigued me but I did not have any Strega so I subbed in Yellow Chartreuse.
The coconut green tea scotch infusion is pretty good on its own but this drink really emphasises the coconut.
The large rock of ice wasn't mentioned in the original but I enjoyed the way it changed as the dilution increased.
2oz Coconut Green Tea infused Famous Grouse
1tsp yellow chartreuse (Strega if available)
1tsp acacia honey syrup (2:1)
1 large swathe of lemon peel
Squeeze out lemon peel into a mixing glass and drop it in. Add remaining ingredients and stir with ice. Strain into a rocks glass over a large cube. No garnish.
For the scotch infusion pour a half bottle of famous grouse into a non reactive container and add four heaped teaspoons of coconut green tea. Allow to infuse for half an hour then fine strain back into its bottle.
