First rustled this taste sensation up over Christmas over ice in a rocks glass; loved the flavours but struggled to make an attractive garnish using raw ginger. Had some ginger in the fridge so thought I'd remake it and serve it short and use bitters for decoration as opposed to a fancy garnish.
Love how this works, it's incredible drinkable. Definitely recommend giving it a go.
50ml - Stolichnaya Vodka
25ml - Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice
3 Bar Spoons - Honey
1 Tsp - Freshly Chopped Ginger
Few Dash - Angostura Bitters (Garnish)
Add all ingredients (bar bitters) to mixing glass.
Dry shake (with strainer spring or single ice cube).
Fill with ice & shake vigorously to break up honey.
Double strain into short glass.
Sprinkle few dashes of bitters and swirl to decorate.
(Note: Honey won't visibly completely dissolve. I find that three spoons dilutes enough to balance drink).
