Inspired by the smoking ban which came into affect July 2007. This post dinner drink was made to hi light a decline in Cigar sales in my hotel. A twist on a smoked Manhatten. This drink is complex with chocolate notes mixed with smoke and thickened with rich sherry.
It's safe to say this is one of my favourites.
Can be served with a cigar or in my hotel it's served with a cigar smoked chocolate confit filled chocolate wafer that looks like a cigar
50ml of Johnnie Walker Blue Label
20ml Pedro Ximenez Sherry
5ml cinnamon Liqeuer
1 Dash of Mozart Chocolate bitters
Molasses Chocolate Shisha Tobacco (nicotine free)
Mix all the liquid ingredients in a mixing glass over ice.
Pour into a chilled sealable bottle.
Using a cold smoker gun smoke direct the smoke directly into the bottle. Let the smoke fill the vessel, seal and serve
