The Godson

About this Cocktail

This is a cocktail I created for use at Blackberry Farm, a Relais & Chateaux resort located in Walland, TN. This is a variation on and a descendant of the classic, Godfather. I say variation because a Godson is actually Scotch, Amaretto combined with light cream, but I liked the name. Besides, Godcousin doesn't have a nice ring to it.

  • 2.25 oz. Aberlour 10yr Single Malt Scotch Whisky
  • .5 oz. Amaretto
  • Half if a blood orange freshly squeezed
  • 1 Dash of Fee Bros. Cherry Bitters
  • 1 Dash of Fee Bros. Old Fashioned Bitters

In a mixing tin with ice add everything. Stir till cold and then julep strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a dehydrated blood orange wheel.
