That darn apostrophe! Is it the Kings Medicine...or...the King’s Medicine. I prefer the latter AND the recipe created by Swedish bar manager, George Kakaji At VY NKPG. There is a cocktail without the apostrophe but that’s for another time....especially since I love me some ginger!
1 1/2 oz Bulleit Bourbon
1 oz Cointreau
1 oz Honey Syrup (2:1)
3/4 oz Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice
3/4 oz Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice
~10 grams of freshly peeled ginger slices
~ 1-2 oz Mandarin Orange (or plain) club soda
Dehydrated Orange Wheel Garnish
Combine all but the club soda and garnish in a cocktail shaker. Dry shake for 20+ seconds to emulsify egg white.
Add ice and shake again for 15+ seconds until well chilled.
Pour over a single large ice cube in a chilled rocks glass and top with Mandarin Club Soda.
