The Leninway Daiquiri
Saved by 5 People
About this Cocktail

Listed on the menu as a Hemingway daiquiri. While it wasn't quite what I would consider the classic version, it was quite tasty. Named for Lenin since it was mixed and consumed in Kazan, Russia where Lenin attended university.

Ingredients:
  • 2 oz. Bacardi superior rum
  • 1 oz. fresh lime juice
  • 1 oz. fresh grapefruit juice
  • .25 oz. simple syrup
  • Grenadine?
Preparation:

It didn't mention it on the menu, but I assume they added a strong splash of grenadine and a cherry in the glass for garnish. I would drop the grenadine and instead add a small dash of Luxardo Maraschino.
Mix ingredients over ice, shake vigorously, and strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice.
