This comes from the cocktail blog The Straight Up. I love this cocktail. Really complex cocktail with sweet, herbal, and bitter in great balance. I frequently use bourbon in place of rye and sometimes add 1/2 oz Strega.
1 oz Rye
1/2 oz Amaro Averna
1/2 oz Fernet-Branca
1/2 oz Campari
1/2 oz Green Chartreuse
5 drops orange citrate
5 drops Bittermens Boston Bittahs
5 drops Bittermens Orange Cream Citrate
Peated Scotch (rinse)
Add the Rye, Amaro Averna, Fernet-Branca, Campari, Green Chartreuse, Boston and Orange citrate bitters to a chilled mixing glass. Add ice and stir until well chilled. Rinse a chilled cocktail glass with peated scotch (I like Compass Box Peat Monster). Strain the chilled cocktail into the rinsed glass and then garnish with a flamed orange twist.
