The Perfect Martini was not named because it is the best, but because of the "perfect" 1:1 proportion of sweet to dry vermouth, where a standard martini calls for just dry. Add the above ingredients to a mixing glass, fill with large ice cubes, stir until chilled and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with lemon peel.
