About this Cocktail

It is the destiny of mint to be crushed, but Perilla percusses a man into a lush.

Made for the one in search of "that" succulent liquid diet. And for those who appreciate the sweet, bitter, peppery complexity of Shiso [Perilla].

Ingredients:
  • 1.5 oz Yamazaki 12 Year Single Malt Whisky
  • 1 oz Campari
  • .50 oz Dover Shiso Liqueur
  • 2 dashes homemade black pepper tincture
  • 1 fresh shiso [perilla] leaf for garnish
Preparation:

pour, stir, double strain, sip.

served in: rocks glass over ice

The black pepper tincture is rye based. The shiso leaf is edible but also very delicate--if it's not fresh, it will stick and mold onto the ice.
