The beginning of the summer is one of my favorite times, and one biggest reasons why is the fragrance of honeysuckle that blows in the wind through my home. Honeysuckle is one of my favorite botanicals to use in an early summer cocktail.
2oz Aged Rum
1/2oz Sauvignon Blanc
3/4oz Honeysuckle Syrup
1/2oz Lemon Juice
2 drops House Grapefruit Bitters
Garnish- Honeysuckle Flower
Add all ingredients to shaker tin, ice, shake, double strain into chilled coupe, and Garnish.
2cups White Sugar
2cups Freshly Picked Honey Suckle Flowers
Make simple syrup, bring to boil, remove from heat, add Honey Suckle Flowers, steep for 3-4 hours, strain and bottle. Lasts 2 weeks.
