About this Cocktail

An original. Throwing my gratuitous hat into the tiki ring, as I haven't found many tiki drinks that feature my favorite ingredients: Amari. Being an American concoction that bastardizes "Polynesian" cultures, might as well throw some Italian into the mix. Name comes from the failed tiki fast food chain that never came to existence. Huge tropical fruit and ginger spice balanced with a rooty, eucalyptus punch from the Amari. This was a fun, no-holds-barred concoction, but certainly not to be pulled out during the rush. Deep hip-shot right here.

Ingredients:
  • 1oz Barbancort 4yr
  • 1oz Cynar
  • .66oz Smith and Cross
  • .5oz Fernet Branca
  • 1oz Pineapple
  • .5oz Lime
  • .5oz Falernum
  • 2 dashes Angostura
  • 1 dash Jerry Thomas Bitters (Bitter Truth)
  • Ginger Beer
Preparation:

Combine all ingredients except ginger beer and shake, strain into an ice-filled Collins glass. Top with ginger beer and garnish with a lime wheel.

This sounds like a tiki drink I would like. Bastardization is welcomed here!
