After trying Stew Ellington's take on the Turf, I commented that it might work well with bourbon barrel aged gin. This is essentially Stew's recipe but I scaled back on the absinthe to let the Watershed BB Gin shine more. If you like the Turf and dry martinis, I think you'll enjoy this.
2 oz Watershed Bourbon Barrel Aged Gin
3/4 oz Dry Vermouth
1/4 oz Maraschino liqueur
1/8 oz absinthe
1 dash orange bitters
Stir ingredients in a mixing glass or shaker. Strain into a chilled martini glass or coupe. Serve with a lemon twist.
