About this Cocktail
Invented by me in July of 2011. The name comes from its two signature ingredients -- sour cherries, found in upstate New York, and Batavia Arrack, from Indonesia.
1.5 oz Batavia arrack
1 oz amaretto
1 oz Demerara simple syrup
8 sour cherries
1 lemon, the juice of
3 dashes Xocolatl Mole bitters
Lighly muddle the cherries, lemon juice, and simple syrup in a mixing glass. Add the remaining items and shake with ice. Double strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a sour cherry.
