About this Cocktail

A fantastic, if evil, dessert cocktail with two 55% and above ingredients cloaked in sweet creaminess.

  • 1 oz green Chartreuse
  • 1 oz dark overproof rum
  • 2/3 oz simple
  • 1 whole egg
  • Angostura bitters

Add all ingredients to a shaker – the egg last. Dry shake (no ice) for 10 seconds. Shake very hard with plenty of cracked ice for another 25 seconds. Strain into a wine glass. Decorate with a few drops of Angostura on top of the foam.

Delicious treat! Always looking for new concoctions for the Chartreuse, and this hit the spot.

Hey Stew, yes it is. Or rather, I hope it is. Have you come across it somewhere else?
  • Stew Ellington
No, never seen it anywhere else. I might like to include it in my next book, if that's OK. You'll be credited next to the drink.
  • Nick Falk
    I'd be honoured!
  • Robbie Smokucha
I'm def going to make this tonight in honor of #1605 aka chartreuse day!
