About this Cocktail

Came across St. George's latest, Dry Rye Reposado Gin (aged in French and American Oak wine casks) and couldn't resist. First thought, as usual, was an Old Fashioned and it's fantastic.

Next to try: a Negroni.... or is that a Boulevardier? Either way, check this stuff out.

  • 2 oz. St. George Dry Rye Reposado Gin
  • 1 sugar cube
  • 2 dashes Ango
  • Lemon peel garnish

Muddle sugar cube and bitters, add spirit, stir strain into an old fashioned glass. Lemon peel.

    This one is pretty unique.
  • Blackbird Bar
Any idea why it's called Reposado? Only 2-6 months in barrel? I thought that was strange when I saw this.
  • Brett Helms
Reposado here I believe does refer to time spent in barrel.
  • Blackbird Bar
    Interesting choice....

Now that St. George is (finally) available in the New Orleans market, I'll have to try this one.
